I'm right handed but, left eye dominate. I've been shooting for several years but wanted to know if anyone has ever made this switch before. I'm thinking its a way to start from scratch and kill the bad habits I have.

I've been shooting guns my whole life right handed. For a while after I actually learned to shoot well, I actually shot better left handed because I didn't have bad habits trained into muscle memory.
As far as transferring that to a bow...I think it could be done, but drawing lefty feels very strange to me. Since the left hand would be anchored and the right hand doing the aiming...you might actually see some improved accuracy. I almost think it could be an ideal situation to be right handed and left eye dominant.

I did this. Bought my first LH bow last year. I first started learning by shooting another person's LH bow (to know if I really wanted to drop the cash on one.) I now shoot much better LH after one year, than I did after shooting RH for 10+ yrs.
I had done this with shooting a shotgun several years ago & had the same results with that as well.
I highly recommend it

I shot a long time right handed. Switched to left handed and all is well. He will be a whole lot more accurate if you are left eye dominant shooting left handed. It is not difficult to do. I shot a 3 d tournament right handed and qualified for state. The next Saturday I went and bought a left handed bow. And then shot another 3 d tournament the next day. I never missed a beat switching. It does take a little getting used to but can be done.
I am right handed as well but left eye dominant. I can shoot a rifle right handed or left handed but now have pretty much gone all left handed in shooting.

You will never find a person in your situation that has made the change, and is not 100% satisfied. You will find some left-eyed folks that have not made the change, and they will tell you that they can compensate. But I will never understand why one would want to compensate for the wrong equipment.
Listed to the people that have made the change, try and find one that is not happy.
I discovered that I was left-eyed several years ago. Was told by the bow shop that I should be shooting a lefty bow. I resisted at first, but finally went with the lefty. It was awkward the first couple of times, but after that it was 100% natural. I just a few weeks I was a far better shot then I ever thought could be.
Do yourself a favor and go with your dominent eye and leave a lifetime or problems behind you.

After reading what everyone has said, I'm not 100% on dropping $1k+ for a new rig BUT, I'm very confident on the switch. I'm buying a 2nd hand bow and going to shoot it for a couple of months to see. I feel the awkwardness from the switch will be my only struggle.
Thanks for ya'lls .02, that's what I needed.

I'm sure you will enjoy the switch, but if you want to "practice/start" building your arm strength and getting use to the change before you have to spend any money I've got an older left haned bow you can borrow if you are 29-in draw length. Sorry it's not adjustable on the draw length.

I'm right handed/ left eye dominant, and although I've considered making the switch before, I'm pretty satisfied with my performance shooting right handed. Well, that and the fact that I have so much money tied up in my present right handed rigs. It's good to hear that so many have made the switch successfully, but it's just not for me.
