I shot a axis buck in Dec 06, the meat is very good and is much easier to prepare than venison. Not as dry, ect.Made some awsome jerky too

Sorry, I can't help you on the black buck, I've heard it's like goat meat. Maybe some one else could help.

Blackbuck is great...had a lease near Rocksprings that was covered up in them...the ranchowner told us we could eat all the does we wanted...had them every weekend...chickenfried with gravy, every cut is tender and good.

Axis is one of the better meats alot better then whitetail. Blackbuck on the other hand personally i wouldnt feed it to dogs. But that is just my opinion i do know people who love it just not me. Good luck

My blackbuck taste really good, but I think it due to all the protein and corn they are eating

Just like cattle that comes from a feed lot will taste better than one from out on the range

Axis is more like beef than whitetail I think. Yummy! We made some jerky with it so that we could taste the different flavors.

Dont know anything about blackbuck, but that is the one animal I would LOVE to have a shoulder mount of. I think they are the most gorgeous animals ever!
