    Lens recommendations for Canon 30D

So, i just bought a Canon 30D from a TBH brother. I'll be needing to get some glass. I need recommendations for about three "go to" lenses. One for interior (snapshots, parties, etc.), one for wildlife, and another for landscape type stuff. I can't afford the high end stuff. Any suggestions?

I have this same camera, what lens did it come with?

Believe it or not, I have a whole host of lenses from my Minolta XE-7 35mm SLR that I use because I picked up a Minolta to EOS adapter w/glass. You can do this with any manual lenses out there as long as you have the proper adapter that cost about $28.00

Most if not all of my manual focus lenses have been free or cost very little BTW.

If I can help you out further let me know.

The Canon EOS 30D is a great camera.

Thanks for the information. I'll be getting an adapter. Any other lens suggestions, or suggestions in general? Thanks again.

Well, the Canon 50mm 1.8 for sure. $75-$100

        Canon 18-55mm w/is - $80-$120

        Canon 55-250mm $140-$170

Warning, youll fall in love with the low light capabilities of the 50mm 1.8 and start looking at the f2.8 low light capabilities of the 24-70mm and/or 70-200mm IS which run about $2200 and $2000 respectively (new) :P

Warning, if you test a L series lens.... like the 70-200mm f/4L your going to get hooked real hard.. a buddy of mine told me to save my money and put a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II and I never will look at another lens.. maybe his go to landscape lens is the 16-35mm f/2.8L II... but he has deeper pockets than I do.

But for now, I am also using the 70-200mm f/4L USM
