    Spott hogg question

I see everybody talking about the spott hoggs. Id like to try one. My thing is, i shoot just one pin. I sight in at 25yds and shoot different distances to see where it hits. I like how much more clear my fov is. Could i get one with maybe one pin or would i have to get at least a three pin? And no slider. Thanks

They do custom orders, so if you really wanted just one pin, they could do that. The pins are also removeable if you didn't want them.

No way I would spend the money on a spot hogg for a single pin unless I wanted a slider and I love my spot hogg.

I thought I would like the Real Deal SH... That thing is a PITA to adjust the pins.....

Once they are set though, they'll never go out of adjustment. I do think a SH is slightly pricey for a single pin.

I'm still trying to figure out
Put Allen wrench at 11oclock turn to 1130.
Turn other screw the rest of the way to 1200. It will move the pin a 1/4 of a fiber... Maybe I'm just over thinking it

I like mine. I recently bought a Real Deal used and sent it to Spot Hogg to get a new level installed (some of the older ones have leaked out/discolored) and the new "bulletproof" pins installed. They also did a custom configuration of all green 2 .019s and 3 .010s. All this for the grand total of $30. I like the lifetime warranty and solid-ness of the sight. It sounds dumb but its also quieter or more vibration free on the shot than my Armortech though it lacks some of the adjustability.

I also would not pay that kind of money for just one pin. That would be like buying a corvette and putting used tires on it.

The pin pivots where it's attached to move up and down. The screws are just stops. Screw the top screw in and it rotates the pin down. Screw the bottom in and it rotates up. If you need to move up, loosen the top screw to give it room to move up, tighten the bottom until it's where you want it, then tighten the top to hold it in position. To go down, loosen the bottom screw and it should fall on it. When it's where you want it, tighten the top to keep it set.
