New lease in Moran?

Just got new lease in-between Moran and Albany. Got some pics of some young bucks. Just wondering anyone knows about the area? It about 4 miles north of Moran and 1 mile off of highway 6.

We hunt a little North of where you are. There is some really nice deer in the area. Your'e really not far enough North to be in the big buck territory. But, there is a few to be had there. We hunted in just about the same location you describe for 6 years. Most of our pictures and what we saw were young bucks and basket racked deer. We took two deer off that place in the time we were there that went right around 130 each. This year we are just South of Albany. Lots of big deer up in that area.

We also have a place on the clear fork north of Albany on cr 288? No buck pics yet but a ton of does and hogs cams have only been out for 3 weeks.

That will be the place to more than likely hold the bigger deer...

If you've got the does, trust me the bucks are in the area. At least they will be come time for the rut. Usually we see the most rut activity the week before and week of Thanksgiving. Good luck this season. I shot the deer in my avatar after being frustrated by only does showing up when I was hunting. All it took was that one hot doe. She was a daily fixture at my feeder, and there was bucks coming out the woodwork after her all weekend. Hopefully she will be back this year.

Also, that buck was never seen by anybody, or on our cameras. The mature ones are smart. They're not interested in eating corn.

Thanks. Yeah I saw a 130-140 ten on the river right at dark leaving there last Sunday so they are there just hope to keep the does around. Good luck to you as well. Hope to get one like yours by christmas.

We are a 1/4 mile or so down cr 289 on left. Where are u? What's the deer density like? Buck doe ratio? Rut?

how long have you hunted there and as soon as you cross the second cattle guard we own the land on the left and there is plenty of game there
