Well guys if you are hunting LBJ it is looking good for general season and especially those who have drawn a doe tag like myself I got one and I will be hunting with blackpowder and bow, I have pretty much scouted all the areas I will be hunting throughout doe season and found some really good areas and tracks. I was out hunting tonight and saw 3 bucks and 2 does and a really good rub and scrap I actually saw a bush that was just shredded by a buck antlers and bucks I saw where 2 spikes and a good 8 point maybe 9 looks like he broke part of his right brow tine off a little but I set up some scent wicks and 1 of the spikes responded to a doe grunt witch was interesting I dont know if he was curious or what but I will be back out there in 2 weeks and then up to pat mayse in dec. 24th and then jan. 1st I will be at Lake Ray Roberts Hog hunting. Well just thought I would put a update out there the past posts are kinda old and not many of the posters are saying anything. How did you get a doe tag? Never saw in any of your threads that you even knew of a tag.

And I knew there was a antlerless permit you could draw for but I got mine from the LBJ office. I guess they are left over tags from the draw? I dont know.

I heard they would go out opening day of general season some years and hand out antlerless tags randomly in the parking lots.

I was told that they had to be fare about how they give them out this year, a friend went by there and that is what they told him. I wonder how they define fare? I heard this afternoon that they only have a few left now, dang.

Anyone seeing any deer moving at LBJ? I've been out Saturday, Tuesday and today and haven't seen any deer. It's getting frustrating. Will be out there again tomorrow and Saturday.

I was out Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, no deer seen...

I was doing more walking than standing looking over new areas so that could have something to do with it, but I'd have been happy at least jumping a deer just to see they're around...

Well I will tell you the bucks probably wont be out till end of november cause it needs to get colder.

I hope I get 1 tonight I am going to a unit that hopefully the deer are at!
