I believe that you have the ability to hunt on Fort Hood. There is a thread here about Fort Hood which should explain what is required. Thank you for your service.

I like many will say that the people that steal and call to take your hunting spot I to much of a hassle and don't won't to bother. Not that fort hood isn't good hunting but some things are better left alone.

So are you saying that you could hunt on fort hood, but you would rather someone give you and your buddies a place to hunt? There are over 192,000 acres in the Sam Houston national forest. I am a Marine and it works fine for me.

Sounds like they tried hunting out there before only to get thier spots taken and he doesn't want to bother with it now.

I have more spots picked out than I can hunt at Lake Aquilla. I could show you guys around if that would work for you.

You can hunt at Camp Bullis in San Antonio. I hunted there for years when I was active and never had a problem.

Scout, set up stands etc, stuff gets stolen.
Try to sign in on Teletrac - area closed for training or the area is already full of hunters.

You finally have time to hunt, call in to find out the area is shot out.

I feel you pain, been there, done that. Haven't hunted the Hood in about a decade.
