    best beans -

Hey guys - I'm in charge of cooking the beans this weekend. We are smoking some ribs and possibly some chicken. I'm looking for a recipe that will go well with the pork/chicken. I would also prefer for an easy recipe that I can throw in the crockpot in the morning and will be ready by dinner time. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations. I"ve searched on here and found a few, but thought I would ask around as well and see if I could find any more.
    Thanks.

    Booty's Famous Beans:

    1 large onion-chop it fine
2-3 gloves of garlic-chopped fine or one small jar of chopped garlic

Sautee in salted butter or olive oil until translucent. Booty prefer butter

Add one can of rotel, spicy or regular, your choice, drain first but don't wash. Sautee until it looks good

Add beans- drain and wash first
    1 can black beans
    1 can kidney beans
    1 can pinto beans
    1 can navy beans

Add 2 cans of ranch style beans- don't drain or wash

Season to taste. Add water as needed.

Let me know the results as they are awesome.....

sounds great. a few questions. how long do you put them in the crock pot? do you buy the canned beans or the beans in the bag? do you completely cover them up with water? do you add the rotel to the onion/garlic that is you sautee? Thanks.

Yes add the rotel to the sauted onions and garlic and continue to saute until it looks good - you'll know

Use canned beans - wash and drain the first group

        Ranch beans only drain

Add water and let it cook. The beans will soak up water so just add water as needed. Looking for a texture like baked beans, not quite as runny as pork and beans. Since the beans take on the water, based on the amount of time you just want to let them go in the crock pot determines the amount of water added.
