No speed limit!???? Arent they excluding some with not so fast bows...we would get murdered. Seems to be a very ELITE sporting event. Im not that good but would love to shoot it.

Personally I appreciate the no speed limit. I'm getting tired of having to crank my bow down and re-sight because I want to shoot an event. I understand that some go overboard with the ridiculous speed but when I'm shooting right at 290 a 280 speed limit is just enough to screw my whole rig. If you are dialed in and executing what difference does it make?

Alot of difference, if you are shooting 290 and im shooting 246 dont you think theres a difference? Do you think it takes more skill to shoot at 45 yrds at 246 or 45yrds at 290?
The ASA has the cap on it when keeping it fair to all that shoot.

I understand that there are certain advantages to shooting higher speeds for those trying to win at strictly regulated competitions. However, I believe most of us shoot 3d as practice for hunting and having to change everything on my setup is contrary to the main goal. Don't get me wrong I love the competition but there should always be a class that allows a hunter to compete with his hunting setup without having to drop poundage down.

Looks like thats what your gettin. Im lost though, is it a hunting tourney or a 3-D compitition? Just saying that this ultimate 3-D range is not catering to us that havent shot at 40+ yards yet and that dont have magnification. Guess I better go spend some $$$$$ and get me a faster bow? Its all good. Remember there are alot of us who enjoy shooting 3-D but are not wealthy enough to have the top of the line equipment and we just get whipped.

I wasn't really talking about skill but you must be a way better shooter than I am since it takes so much more skill for you than it does for me. Setting a cap is understandable but i would be excluded from those shoots if I didn't want to make major changes. I suppose I should crank this speed demon down and stop shooting my 430gr hunting arrows so noone else questions my "skill" level.

No bad feelings I was asking a question(does it take more skill at a higher speed than a lower speed) Im not that good just wanting to know? Im sure your skills are much better than mine. Anyway I would still like to shoot CCR.

If you had ever shot at ccr you would never question that they have something to offer everyone. The no speed limit is proof of that. My original comment was just to show my feeling about not having to change my setup AGAIN. If the 40yard shots are the problem then we don't even shoot the same class in other competitions.

I'll back off sorry about the rant. I wish I just would have bought a 60lb bow and I wouldn't have this problem. Hope to see you out there.

Just saying they might have more shooters if they had a novice class!
