Quikspin vanes and a fletching jig

I want to fletch a dozen arrows with Quikspin vanes, but the EZ-Fletch (carbon) I have will not work. The slots for the vanes are too narrow to allow for the extra thickness at the back of the vane.

Can someone tell me if a Bohning jig will fletch Quikspins? Or any other fletching jig?

any other jig can fletch them, I haven't done any quikspins but my bohning jig has worked just fine on blazers and fusions

Try running several narrow layers of duct tape on just the inside of your jig. You want to place the tape on the side where the extra material is that causes the QS to turn. I think I have 3 layers of tape on my Jo-jan fletcher.

The width of the duct tape should be about 1/8" or so. Just a little bit less than the distance from the base of the vane to the bottom of the extra thickness.

Hope this helps. It takes a little trial and error to get it right.

        jig

Your current jig will work, i use the same one with the qs speed hunter vanes. Just insert them in the middle of the arm where the opening is larger and then slide them down to the bottom. Just let them sit long enough to be sure the glue is dry before removing the arrow w/vanes from the jig.
