Just wanted to see how many TBH'ers were drawn and what vehicles to look for. I'll be in a white 4x4 f-350 crew cab.

I'll try to post some news every evening of what I see in my compartment and stop by the check station with my camera!

Hopefully somebody will knock over a wall-hanger.

several doe and a small buck that would not be legal by wma regs.

I'm in unit 2. Catfish creek is flooded and the acorns have just about quit falling.

I checked the skinning rack and nothing was happening tonight. I'll post back tomorrow.

Good luck on the hunt! Not surprised about the flooding as that area received 3 & 1/2+ inches of rain this past week. Not sure where unit 2 is located but have seen some good bucks throughout the years on that place.

hunted this morning from daylight until 11:30am and saw no deer

hunted this afternoon from 3pm until dark and saw one illegal buck

no deer were brought to the check station (i may regret passing a doe yesterday)

rained all afternoon (didn't hunt the morning)

brushed in my pop-up after lunch and sat till dark

6 doe and no bucks, the doe wandered in and out of 40yard range

I came back yesterday. I didn't feel like sitting around in the rain. LOL. Saw a NICE 8 on Saturday evening that was border line legal at 20 yards. He would have been my first bow buck and 2nd biggest overall. Saw a couple does out of range Sunday and Monday. That's it.

Thanks for the map Alan! They now use a # system for units, but they're pretty much the same.

noflyzone, I think you were sitting next to me at the orientation. Did you have an A&M hat on and was towards the back? I was wearing my TBH hat.

Dang! Guess there's always next year! I was in 15 with some guy from Freeport. Where were you at?

I hunted Unit 12. Got a three point on the second day. Saw quite a few deer and passed on a few yearling does. Saw a decent buck but nothing close to the minimum requirements. Definitely nothing like the buck I saw last year.
