Since the week of rain we got recently everything looks really good right now and there was quite a bit of water holding in the Concho River are by Unit 6/7 where most folks hunt. I live really close to the units down at the other end of FM2288 so I'll probably be hunting down closer to that end. even tho I literally live less than 5 mins. away this will be my first year hunting out there. I just recently found out that you only have to wear the hunters orange stuff on your walk into and out of the unit and you can take it all completely off while in your blind OR while stalking around your hunting area. Cant say I'm a fan of the orange while bowhunting but in light of what the parks HQ guy told me now I'll give it a go this year.Originally posted by thedosranchhand View Post
