Rockport Aid Packages / Kits
My pastor went to Rockport on Tuesday to bring some initial supplies and find out what they need. He and a team are going back soon, but they asked for church members to put together aid packages / kits to bring back.
Not that I'm asking you to load our church with kits because they will have plenty to carry from the church, but.... if a TBHer is going down and wants to bring kits from TBH or friends and family - here's what they said is needed:
Cleaning kits
A 5 gallon bucket with lid including
· 20 oz. cotton wet mop
· Push broom
· A squeegee
· A capped broom
· A scrub brush
· Cellulose sponge
· Leather palm work gloves
· Medical exam gloves
· Respirator mask
· Heavy duty garbage bags (3)
· Pine-Sol cleaner
· Clorox Bleach
Hygiene bags – label MAN or LADY
FIRM Area Association is sending a shower truck to Rockport that will be there for up to 3 months and is in need of "hygiene bags. Label the bag "man" or "lady". NO individual items, please!
A 2 gallon Zip Lock baggie filled with: (Keep in mind, travel size only lasts about 1 week. They need 3 months.)
• toothbrush, toothpaste,
• washcloth,
• bar soap or body wash,
• hand sanitizer,
• deodorant,
• razor,
• shaving cream,
• shampoo/conditioner,
• comb (no brushes), one or two extra baggies.
Rockport Police Kit for 1st Responders:
Collecting socks, blister band aids and athletic foot powder
The Rockport Volunteer Fire Department Kit
Sunblock, Bug Spray, Chapstick, Heavy Duty Work Gloves, Shovels, Rakes and Prybars.
Please do NOT contribute food items at this time. There is very limited storage and food needs are being addressed by multiple organizations at this time (HEB, Mercy Chefs, FIRM Association, Red Cross).
