I know, isn't it unbelievable how the best photographers manage that? My best friend from grad school was in the photojournalism department, and he had the same sort of luck, always walking up on some amazing moment with a camera ready to go. Then, not only do they get the right moment, they always seem to get an awesome shot.

Russell, inspiring work as always. I love that little guy's hand being at the center point, those outstretched fingers are trying sooooo hard to reeeaaach just a bit further...

Secondly, to answer your question, the answer is that I really don't know. I am just always on the lookout.

When I first got into photography, a famous Texas photographer told me that "...anyone can take a picture but not everyone can SEE a picture."

His advice stuck with me.
