Painting or Hydro dipping vs gun value

I am considering painting my 10/22 and was wonder if the value is hurt by changing the original look of gun.

I did this in my pattern and really liked out it turned out. It's an 870

I don't know about others but I think it hurts the value. I have seen several guns for sale that I would have bought if they hadn't been painted or dipped.

Tim, I dont think it would hurt the value of certain weapons, but what you have to take into account is the popularity of certain colors and pattern types...

And why in the world would you ever sell a 10/22!! MAKE IT PURTY AND KEEP IT FOREVER!!
