I'm a 150 man. Great ballistics and plenty of knockdown power.

        150 or 165- I'd go 150.

Some of the 180's are harder cased for bigger animals and can zip right through lil ole deer without expanding.

.30 '06 was made with the 150 grain bullet originally. To me it's where it likes to be as far as weight. I know in the pacific we were using 150 grains against the Japanese and they worked flawlessly. On the other hand I've also done research showing US troops in Europe during WWII were using 171 grain armor piercing rounds. Bottom line, it doesn't matter, whatever produces the best groups is what you otta use. All my .30 '06s do best with 150.

165-168gr for me. My 06 shoots them better than the 150s or 180s.

165 gr moly coated Remington PSP bullets. Very accurate in my rifle and the cost for a thousand is very good.

I have a browning a-bolt with BOSS on it. I burned up a bunch of rounds through it when I first got it. All factory loads. Federal Premium 165 Sierra Game King Boat Tail Soft Point were by far the best round when zeroing at 200 yds. JMO.
