    Making salsa

    After picking about 35 pounds of tomatoes and my daughter taking about 10 pounds i had about
    25 pounds of tomatoes to do something with. So being from texas we make picante.

                    My tomatoes are starting to come in. My wife and I made 98 qrt jars last year. Can’t wait. I still have about 10 jars left. I need to start eating it or handing it out.

                          Forget cooking it down, I like it far better fresh. We just made some the other day also, but it’s gone already. Man we go though some chips and salsa this time of year.

                            I’m with you but different strokes! It sure looks good though, and I wouldn’t turn down a pint or two of it if it was offered! I love it but try to stay away from the chips so that limits how much salsa I eat. I find other ways to incorporate it into whatever I’m eating! It doesn’t last when I do make some.
