Making Your Own Bowstringer?

I'm having trouble with my old Selway stringer being too short for longbows so I can't string a bow on my own.
What is the best, and easiest bowstringer to make on your own for stringing these longbows by yourself? It would be great to get a link or image for plans.

Cut the too short cord off and replace it with an appropriate length of paracord. I do that with my stringers anyway, so that I can use bright colors and thus actually find the fool things in the bottom of my pack.

That's a VERY good idea, Fuzzy. I could keep my stringer for my recurves and buy a new one for the board bows.
