I pray that she is able to overcome, but I think time is short. But that would make an open spot for President Trump to pick another conservative justice. The smiley face is for the conservative justice.

The DNC called Keith Richards after the diagnosis, they now have RBG on the same cocktail of booze, coke and pills that has preserved Keith

The Democrats will be proping her up and parading her around like Weekend at Bernies before they admit she is dead.

Weekend at Bernies is the first thing that popped in my head. I give her 6 months. Tops. And then watch the liberals heads explode.

I don't see how she can make it another year, but then again I don't see how she has made it this long.

it will get interesting.

Wasn't she diagnosed with Melanoma in the past and now it has metastasized in her left lung?

If this is the case a short battle has just begun.

If we can get another conservative justice the republic might just make it another full generation without converting to full blown socialism.
It would be Trumps greatest accomplishment.

Says she was treated for pancreatic cancer as well.
Isnt that one of the deadliest forms of cancer?

I don't wish Cancer on anyone, horrible disease and a horrible way to die. Similarly, I don't wish any ill will upon her, I just wish she'd go away. Needs to happen NOW, otherwise, the Dems will claim it's not right for Trump to get a nomination at the end of his term, and they're convinced he'll be replaced in 2020 with a Dem, I'm not confident he'll win reelection myself.

That said, I'm afraid she's going to live forever. She's got unlimited funding for any medical treatment available, the Democrats will see to it that she gets any and all treatments that might prolong her life, even if they're not approved in this country. I often wonder how sharp her mind is at this point, and how much of her rulings are coming from younger staff. Heck she can't even sit up straight por stay awake for pictures, how can she possibly hear a SCOTUS case?

I don’t wish anything bad for RBG. I hope that when it’s her time to go, she is able to pass away peacefully. I do however hope that the entire Clinton family gets hit by a train on the way to her funeral.

She can't last much longer. Her mind is already pretty much gone. At her age chemo and radiation take a huge toll and then the pain meds will shut down her vitals. Her clock is ticking faster and faster now.

Well said! I don't wish harm nor death on anyone. With family members that have died horribly from cancer I don't play like that. In addition, my dad is 87 which is older than she is.

8d never wish death on anyone....so I hope she retires.
That said I'd have a good stiff drink if the Clintons plane plowes into a mountain side.
AS for RBG... I hope she lives to be 110 in retirement

That she is. Broke three ribs and was back to work in a month. For an 85 year old woman, I'd say she's pretty stout.

Interestingly, those three broke ribs were the reason her cancer was found (tests during hospital visit).

Weird to hear this called an accomplishment.
I don't care who the prez is, not like they did anything except nominate someone from their party. Has a president ever shocked the country in this process? Im not poking, asking a serious question.

If it can keep our country on the right track by upholding the constitution, then I would consider it an accomplishment. A very important one at that.

Maybe accomplishment is not the right language. But, a president can nominate anyone they want and if they respect the country and the constitution that made it what it is they nominate someone who they think will interpret the constitution.
There is no chance a Democrat president is going to nominate someone like this. Several Republican presidents have been fooled.

The credit technically should go to Mitch McConnell for blocking Garlands nomination for a year (which was quite a gamble, if Trump had lost, Hillary probably would've nominated someone much more liberal than Garland, who was relatively centrist), and for getting Trump's nominees through relatively quickly. Also if you look at Trump's list of people he's nominated for judges, I'd wager he outsourced the work to the Federalist Society.

Apparently her granddaughter has been writing most of her decisions as of late anyway, so apparently she is getting her family time

No idea if it's a granddaughter or staffer or who, but Ruth clearly isn't writing them. She can't even hold her head up and stay awake! Now, I'm not saying she has lost her mental capacity, my Grandmother was 93 and sharp as a tack until the day she died, and had the hunchback, hanging head for decades. But she couldn't hear, even with hearing aids, couldn't see, and couldn't stay awake for long periods of time. I think that's where Ruth is now. There's no way she can sit through a case, catch all the facts, understand all the points etc....... she's clearly just a body in a robe and someone else is pulling the strings from behind the curtain.

Can this not lead to someone abusing the system making all her decisions highly questionable.

Yes , if they think Kav is conservative, they’ll just loathe her. She was my number 1. I feel trump chose Kav based on the thought he would be an easy confirmation.

Well when she was in College she went wild and drank heavily and turned Lesbian for awhile. During one of her drunken rampages she forced herself on another woman and raped her.

I think they will sift through their deck of cards and choose the race one on her. I'm sure they can dig up some old friends of hers that remember some racist comments she made.

Well, she's already brain dead and leaking formaldehyde so she will stay preserved for a long time. They will claim she is still alive until she rots.
