8-8:30ish for set up. And start dropping fish about 9ish. Since we have just one 3-basket fryer this year (not counting your 2basket and the other burnners), should give us time to get everything cooked. It'll be kinda like those times when Clint had the only Cajun fryer.

Fresh Fish (60-65 lbs) – MikeB. (7-8lbs), Slew (15-20lbs), Panhandlehunter, (15-20 lbs?), Backfinturkey (15lbs), Rustled Again ( 8-10 lbs ),


Essentials:

Canopy/pop-ups - MikeB (1), Jerry H (1 extra extra large), Tmag (2 pop-ups),
5 gallon buckets to hold canopies down (filled with water) – Jerry H (4 buckets for his canopy),
Fish cookers/Tatar Fryers/Hush-puppy Oil Boilers – MikeB. (9 gallon 3 basket Cajun fryer), Bowcrazy (2 basket Cajun fryer), Saltwaterslick (single burner and supplies for non-peanut oil folks), Jerry H (3-burner stove), Double D (2 basket Cajun fryer)
Oil by gallon to make things float to the top when done- Slew (3 gallons), MikeB. (9 gallons for his fryer),
LP tanks, hoses, regulators, ect. - MikeB. (1 LP tank), Slew (1 PL tank),

Accessory cook-n tools and such:


Prep tables - MikeB (one 6’ table and my little folding wood table for Hushpuppies), Slew (1 or 2 small prep tables), Blackfinturkey (1 table),
Cutting boards and knives – MikeB. (2 cutting boards and knives),
Finish/serving tables – Jerry H. (one 6ft table), Tmag (two 8 ft and one 6ft tables),
Latex gloves for food handling – team has 2 boxes
Tongs and Ladles - 3 stainless tongs and bunch of spoons and ladles from team,
Large Mixing Bowls- 2 half gallon green mixing bowl from team for Hush Puppies
Batter tub - MikeB (large rectangle storage container/tub for batter-n fish),
Potato slicer – MikeB.
Curly Fry cutter -

Thermometers - from Team (2),
Fire Extinguishers – MikeB., Saltwaterslick,
Measuring cups/Mixing spoons- We will have 2 sets of measuring cups thanks go to KHo from a former year’s donations to the team. And plenty of mixing spoons and ladles, can openers, ect.


Season-N Stuff/Tatars/Onions/and Such:

Batter/Self Rise-n Flour/Cornmeal for batter– Team has 10 lbs flour and 20 lbs cornmeal,
Garlic Powder –
Brianlg31
Salt and Pepper shakers –
Team has 3 salt shakers and 3 pepper shakers,
Ragin Blaze – team has 2 cans
Barnical Dust – team has 1 can
Potatoes – Tmag (40 lbs), Bowcrazy (20lbs)Okra – MikeB. (2 gallons)
Onions - Slew
Condiments/sauces/dip-n stuff: Jerry H (1.5 gallons tartar sauce), Cletus (Katsoup, mustard, ect), Rustled Again (special Red Sauce),


More Accessories:

Aluminum pans w/lids for cooked fish/food – Team has 15 big Sterno pans, and 12 half pans, with 19 full-pan lids
Racks and Sterno for aluminum pans – team has 4 cans of Sterno and 6 racks for aluminum pans, could use some more Sterno
paper plates – team has about 200
Food boat trays- team has about 250
Plastic ware – team has 600 plastic forks
paper towels – team has 12 full rolls
Paper napkins – team has about 1200



Hush-puppie Fix-ns:

Moma Berry's Hush Puppies

Makes about 20-30


Mix


1 cup Cornmeal

1 Cup Flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

¾ teaspoon salt



Add and Mix


1 egg

¾ Cup creamed corn

1/4-1/3 cup of either water, milk, or beer (optional)

½ cup diced onions

¼ cup Jalapenos (optional)

Drop into 275° oil by the heaping teaspoon and fry till golden brown.

These were amazing. Wife is still talking about them.

From the old hands to the new, yall did an outstanding job representing! I've heard nothing but great comments on the fish, peppers, hushpuppies, tators, and everything. It was a lot of fun! Yall are what makes this team happen. And contribute to Bownaza happening. It's one of the few chances in life we are given to have our trails cross. And I hope and look forward to seeing each one of you back next year, or seeing you sooner!
