My oldest son Lane has been trying this season to get his first trad kill, it all came together for him Saturday morn on this fine doe. His first shot was high and clipped her spine dropping her right where she stood. He put another one in the 12 ring to finish her. He’s fired up and told me Dad I prolly won’t use that wheel bow much anymore........ only problem is he has taken over my Bob Lee, guess that means I need a new one!
God bless ya all and good luck in 2020
First archery deer kill after over 5 years trying . Doe taken near Abilene yesterday-- the last day for Late Season spike and doe-- in the last five minutes of shooting time. Shot at 21 yards with my 67# Jay Weathers recurve, using 600-grain Gold Tip Hunter 300 spine carbons, with a 300-grain Tuffhead 2-blade broadhead. Went about 120 yards; 20-minute track and recovery.
