Scouted him for over a week, finally located him wednesday afternoon and thursday morning. Set up on him thursday afternoon. After two close calls saturday morning and night, I finally got an arrow in him early sunday morning! First deer I've ever shot at over 20 yards (and I've taken just over 55 with my bow), so I was a little nervous when I ranged him at a solid 32 yards. But, I stuck to my steps and nailed him! Perfect double lung, he ran 35 yards and piled up behind the first tree. Can't even begin to describe how special this deer is and how much of a high I'm on! Measured out at 204" even, with a 25 5/8" inside spread, 28" of abnormals, and barely over 60" in beams! It was **** near impossible to truly capture in a picture what this deer was all about, no angle really gets him good. But these are some of the better ones I suppose.
