Yes, I have seen several trees with leaves turning brown, along with the grass. Lack of water related.

Yup. Even though we have had more rain than others throughout the state a lot of my oaks look terrible. Heat has hurt!

I have about 40 trees in my backyard, mostly cedar elms and a few oaks. The heat stress has them dropping leaves like crazy. So many that I have to blow off the back porch every couple days like I do in late Fall.

I have no rational basis to believe this but I'm hoping since the hot summer temps started so early this year, the cool fall temps will start early as well. Maybe?
