Well, after countless hours the wife finally got the buck she was after yesterday evening! Couldnt be more proud of her.
saw the cold front was coming in on Tuesday, so Monday I had my wife schedule to leave work a little early. we got to lease around 3:30pm and there were 4 does and 3 young bucks eating in the field. We waited about 30 mins for them to leave and then she crossed the field to the blind while I stayed back at the fenceline so I could watch the rest of the field for her incase a big boy came out somewhere she couldnt see. When I saw her get safely into the blind, I headed back to the truck to grab another jacket and as I was walking back I got a text from her saying "BUCK!!!!" so I sprinted the last 150 yards to the fence line, saw a towering rack and replied shoot. Less than 10 seconds later heard the rifle. She dropped him with the 22-250 with only a 19 yard shot. She was absolutely tickled.
