Not shrapnel---but fragments from explosive ordnance--shrapnel is "grapeshot" as in a big shotgun.

Thanks for sharing this! My late grandfather fought through the entirety of the Battle of the Bulge and ran across the bridge at Remagen. Love seeing this part of history!!

My ol'man was also at the Bulge and the Bridge at Remagen. Earned his Bronze Star at Remagen. 9th AD
