Screw high price hunting

I dont know about you guys but it seems the cost of hunting keeps rising significantly each year. Is it still possible to enjoy the outdoors and hunt on a smaller budget? How about taking a trophy? I believe it is still possible. I guess I am hard headed.
I wish I could write a book about this topic because i want to inspire others that hunting is still affordable. I prove it quite often and am thankful. I did find the book titled ‘big game small budget’. That seems like this topic. Anybody read this one?

I have quite a bit of success on 350 ac for 1650 a year.
Now, most folks these days may not see my trophies as trophies but I do. I'll never hunt a HF because there would be no sense of accomplishment there. If I ever lo0se my lease I'll be successful of public land.

Buy land, find the old guys around you.... city folk have ruined hunting for everyone in alot of places. You can still find them spots but its harder and harder.

It's what you make of it, I'll admit I'm not a trophy deer hunter so I'm completely content paying a few hundred for my place to fill the freezer. And I hunt waterfowl on public land so my costs are minimal.

Public land hunter here. I refuse to pay $1K for a lease after paying for licenses, equipment, clothes, etc.

I’ve done good the past 3 years and I figure any deer killed in public land is a trophy.

Read the book you asked about, I didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know.

What is expensive to you? There are plenty of opportunities in Texas and out of state that are very reasonably priced and affordable for pretty much anyone. Just have to put in the time and research to find it
