Last year as a freshman playing varsity baseball my oldest grandson made the UIL first team all district as an outfielder. This year as a sophomore he said his goal was to make it as a pitcher. Well the list just came out and not only did he make first team as a pitcher, he was also and in my opinion, just as important first team Academic Athlete .
