Love my house love my neighborhood love my town.....but the appraisal District here is so money hungry it makes me want to move. Sorry rant over, headed to Arkansas for the next few days.

Walker county isn't much better... these old boys are chomping at the bit to get every dime they can. Something needs to be done state wide to cap this crap.

Yes, it has really gotten ridiculous over the years. Texas likes to brag about being a low tax & no income tax state but we are actually pay some of the high property taxes in the country

I literally saved thousands in taxes by protesting this year. I feel bad for everyone else, the 95% that didn’t protest. I saw properties got up 20 fold in “value”.

I’ve been pulled over a time or two by them for only going a couple mph over the limit! Don’t miss that neighborhood at all.
