I bought a Remington 710 from a fellow tbh member and didn't really like the color do I decided to update it. I bought the gun knowing it was a cheaper alternative to the rem 700. I took the time to clean the action an bolt to rid them of the pasty assembly lube. Then I polished the locking lug of the bolt to help with the "sticky" action feel. After the lube I re assembled and checked my work, felt many times better. Next I devoted to free float the barrel. I was able to use 12,13,&14mm sockets wrapped in 250 grit sand paper checking the gap with notebook paper as I went. Then proceeded to paint the stock like tx_dropem showed us how in his write up.
