There is nothing better than a big bag of homemade jerky around a campfire.

Marinade in Claudes BBQ brisket marinade for 24hrs. I do multiple flavors from that, one we don't add anything (call it our Texas Style), one of the favorites is the marinade and then uncle Chris steak seasoning after its marinated, and another is adding coarse ground garlic pepper.

      Very very good chit

Cut clean deer meat into 1/4” thick strips.
Season with fiesta fajita seasoning (the regular one with salt as first ingredient), garlic salt, and coarse black pepper. Hang in smokehouse. Smoke 4 hours and let it hang to desired dryness. Usually takes 4-6 days in my smokehouse.

Search on here for Smart's jerky. It's the best I have ever made. People at wot ask me when I am bringing more regularly.

Will this jerky seasoning work well with the ground jerky out of the shooters? From what I can read there, no sugar, correct?

Another vote for Smart’s recipe. I’ve been making it the past couple years and it never disappoints.
