Congratulations!!! I grew up in Manvel and about the only BBQ cook off they had back in my day was the volunteer fire department fundraiser. Good memories.

I was so mad that I over salted the brisket that I tossed both of them in a pan and covered it with foil and through it in the cooler. I had planned on feeding it all to the dogs. The judges said that it won in every category by a land slide and was the only one that had any flavor. I never took a picture and never took another bite of it. I'm afraid it might ruin my image of good brisket.
