Default Target Animal?

I dont know about others, but every year I try to pin a certain target animal to put down. Just makes season a little more fun for me, last year it was a nice Pintail Drake, this year I'm after a nice big bobcat to get mounted with a pheasant I shot last year... So whats yall's targets if any?

I'm still after my pintail drake for the wall! Haha nothing has changed there for this season. So if one comes in one morning you have to let me shoot it! Lol

A red fox is what I'm after this year. Actually I have been for a long time now but this year I know where a few are so we'll see how it goes. I'd like to get a black coyote or something crazy but those are really uncommon so I'm not going to count on that. I'd also like to get a ringtail cat when I go down to Texas as well as a trophy sized boar. I set goals for myself every year as well. I just have too many.

I usually try and pick a certain buck every year, my last two years they were shot by someone else and my mission turned to "protecting-growing" this years target.

Ill let ya know after a few weeks in the stand.
As of right now i have no idea what might be walking around the lease.
I dont have cameras or feeders so i have not been to the lease in a few months.
Other than deer, id be happy with a good cat or pig

This East Texas ghost. Only pics I have of him are the few glimpses the cameras got at night. He will be 8-9 years old this year if he's still alive.

No I did not put in this year. Waiting till next year due to the back to back droughts from a few years back. Should be a lot more mature bucks next year and years after.

I did not get back on this year. Lack of mature bucks for the past 2 yrs and it will only be worse this year. 2008 and 2009 we only saw 1 fawn on 70,000 acres. 2010 was a small fawn crop followed by a drought year in 2011 we only saw a handful of fawns. So 4 yrs of not much left a hole. The future looks good with good fawn crops. Lot of 1-5 yr old bucks this year.

I looked into a couple of out of state hunts but nothing yet. Considered making the call to go back after Alberta MD one more time. What I am primed about is being able to hunt the rut on my place for the first time since I bought it 5 yrs ago. If, I don't kill during October like I have 2 of the last 3 yrs. I have no idea what moves in or how they move during the rut.
