Ok, trying to bring this back to being a thing. (Correct me on the rules if I am mistaken.)

Here are the rules as I understand them:

A target is chosen and a range is specified. All targets are to be printed on 8.5" x 11" paper. You shoot your first arrow at the specified range and post a picture of it. All results are to be turned in by Sunday at 6:00 PM. A winner is determined by who's arrow is closest to the target. Taking two pictures helps; one picture of just the arrow sticking out of the target and the second picture with a tape measure showing the distance from your arrow to the target. The winner of each week gets to choose the target and range for the next week.

Good luck and have fun.

We will start a little on the easy side. Closest to the red circle at 20 yards wins.

If you want to do it with traditional gear, that would be awesome. But I'm going to shoot it with my wheel bow. The only traditional type of bow I have is my son's little kid bow, and I can't shoot that straight to save my life.

If you have a gate to the front of your house and stand in the street, you might be able to reach out to 50yds?

First shot at 22yds. I will tell you, that little red dot pretty much disappears at that distance.

I had a quick minute yesterday that I was able to shoot. The thing about the little red circle disappearing it right. I could see the white spot around the eyes and just held my pins a little right of white spot.

My wife and son want to try so they are going to try this evening, but my son will be cheating... closer distance.

The traditional-only thread is Traditional First Shot Challenge, usually headed Traditional FSC (with a week number). For instance, the current week is headed Traditional FSC 30, I believe. Each week starts on a Sunday morning, with a cut-off of midnight Saturday, where best shot maker has the call for the following week.

The scourge of Texas feeders. Feel free to color in the "X" red or whatever color you like. Let's go for 26 yards. Good luck.

I printed it off yesterday but did not have time to shoot it yet. Plus might have to shot from the side of the house to get that range I think 23 yards is as far as I can shoot from the back porch to the fence.

Your still good. Turn in time is Sunday at 6 pm unless we want to change it to Monday at 12 noon.

I might get a chance to shoot it today, if I can leave work on time.

This technically doesent count as a "1st shot" bc I shot at it last night for the 1st time since winter. Made a couple of adjustments to form and shot against this evening. I'd say the adjustments were effective

Good shootin peoples. Turkey and deer season approacheth.

This turkey peeked over a log at 25 yds and spooked your 10pt buck...go for the gusto because it wont show its vitals and its eating your corn.

Good luck.

Turkey lives for another day. Missed the center by about 1-3/8" or so. Going to print off a few more targets and keep practicing this shot since its a fine line between miss and hit. This is the first time I shot at 25 yards since I moved into my new house. My target is at my back fence, from my back door (under my patio) to my target is only 23 yards so I ranged around and found that from the farthest corner of my back yard to my target is 30 yards. So found a spot in between that, that was 25 yards and let an arrow fly. When I told my wife later that night she just said "Why didn't you just open the back doors and shoot from in the living room." lol. Maybe next time I'll be shooting from the air conditioning.

Can I count my 10th shot at 10yds with the pistol crossbow??? Had to make sure it was still sighted in, it wasn't. I am determined to thwack a squirrel with it in my yard.
