Yea, hard to find water ANYWHERE in that lake much deeper than 6'!... Sure is silting in bad! Places where my son and I used to fish in the spring time for crappie and catfish are dry land now when the lake is at full pool level today...

Thanks for the info. Prolly go out sat morn and hit the docks south of the old bridge then head north of 1960. Any idea where the white bass are congregating?

They did not really want to eat shiners, as I was fishing behind a guy fishing shiners and was catch 3-4 to his one. After he watch me Catch about 12-15 he finally swapped over to jigs. Lol

My cuz hired a crappie guide for his wife's anniversary to fish there. They caught over 300 in one day. All jig fish. Kept 50 total. He said they would just go from brush pile to brush pile, catch some, then move to the next brush pile. She doesn't get to fish much. So it was a really good time for her.

Fish are bite-n. And there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!

I grew up fishing lake Houston we lived right on the lake. Would kill them every year during the spawn! I moved and It's been probably 3 years since I last fished there.

Thursday through Sunday are looking like possibilities pending wind speed. And might give it a shot this Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

Had a good morning today before the rain came. River is getting up and I took the yak out with 10 yoyos/minnows and caught a good mess. They were biting good and I was lucky to get as many as I wanted to clean!

Several 2+ pounders in the mix, good fish for the spot I was fishing. Also brought home a 10lb flathead, that was kind of a struggle between the kayak and a yoyo!

Got on the water at 10 this morning. Anchored . And got off at 3PM. 5 hours total fishing. Had to work hard the last hour to get the final 2 fish for a limit. All but 2 fish were on 1/16 jig. And one of those was the only sandbass for the day. Had a few that were to close to the length limit that went back in the lake. Going back in the morning for another round.

Fish are bite-n. And there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!

Prefishing tomorrow a couple hours for Crappie Masters! Gonna be a boring couple hours fishing with mashed hooks but I can't see the point in sticking fish I'm gonna try and catch the next day! Gotta get off the water early. Go to work and hour or two. Then drive to Colleyville for a wedding tomorrow night. Then drive home and be on Fork Sat am early. Gonna be a long day!!

Slew, I lived in Colleyville for a few months after I got married back in '77. There was a house in front of Bluebonnet Cemetery on 26 that I rented. I'll have to tell ya about that story sometime, crappie related.

Great catches fellers!

Just got off the water a little bit ago my self. Lot slower today. And a good bit more wind. Still managed 15 keepers in the boat and 2 keeper sandies. Wind is horrendous when throwing a 1/16oz jig head. Makes it hard to feel the line too . Hushpuppy Man got several this outing. I don't think he's ever been into catching crappie like that. I just sat in the back and watched him have some fun most of the time.
