Justin, fishing makes boat payments, hunting feeds me and I'm on a diet. And it's to nice out to not be on the lake. Plus I'm not that mad at the deer yet..I'll get after them when it cools off. The boat got a upgraded motor so I can freeze on those chilly mornings..

Razor, nice!!

Well put corn out at two spots again today. One spot looks bulldozed so I'm sure it's piggys. The other spot jumped a big body deer off but couldn't see if it had a rack. Hopefully everything sticks around.

From what I've seen body size seems to be pretty good this year. I haven't ran a cam this year so how is the antler growth this year?

From what lil I've seen, body health is good. But being that there is plenty to eat...that can be expected. Don't know about racks. But probably normal with floods and plenty of new vegetation growing, from past experience. They should have lots of corn to feed on very soon too.

I wish this heat would go away.

Official Burleson high temp today was 100.

This is the third day of Sept to officially reach 100. Average number of days for Sept. is one. Now, if I can just survive the week...

I might have been in Florida for awhile but this humidity is nasty. Gonna have to break out the cold weather gear before it gets below 60 I'm gonna freeze.

I try to wait till mid day. Or after dark to put corn out. That leaves them undisturbed during morning and evening prime moving hours. Twice a week. Just watch where ya step. Snakes don't like being stepped on.

One more free weekend to do what ya want. Then it's on!

At this point I try to go out as little as possible. I put out 50# last weekend and ill probably put out a bit this weekend. Then I have the 28th off so I'll probably hand corn about 10 more pounds then and about 5-10 opening morning. I know that seems like a lot but it'll be mid day and just in and out no hanging around. Just an in and out trip is an hour and 45 min walk though

. Good to hear. I'd hate for ya to have to miss a couple of weeks of hunting because of Ol Double Toothy. Already know of a couple folks that's happened to down there.

I've had a pair for about 8 years now. Worn them less than 10 times. Tried to put them on not to long ago and the zipper broke on one of them. Figures . Then I caught two rattlers that weekend too . Boots would wear a blister on my Achilles most of the time. Guess I'll just keep wearing tennis shoes or rubber boots. And watch were I step till I find a place that can repair the zipper. Then they can sit on the shelf again knowing that they are good to go, if I ever put them on again.

Hello all,
I am new to Texas Bow Hunter but have been hunting for years. Looks like a cool resource for hunting information. I will be hunting on the Whitney Core Property this year and was wondering if any of you guys have hunted around the Cedron Creek area? I've always seen a bunch of trucks parked on the east side of the road at the Katie Bridge. Thanks good luck to all.

All I ever wear when scouting are tennis shoes it's all about comfort and speed for me.

When the Corp originally fenced off the corp property and added the entry points several people I know lost items out of their trucks and spare tires. It seems to have gotten much better over the years.

For those close to meridian we are having a youth bake sale in the morning in front of ace hardware. We'll start at 9:00 am and go either till we run out or around 1:00. We're trying to raise enough money to take about 10-20 kids to the promise. Donations are welcome.

That will work Justin. Just take 5lbs with you Saturday, just in case. I used to do that all the time. Sometimes they would clean up almost 50lbs in the evening and over night. 5lbs always made sure that there was something there in case someone got hungry for seconds.
