    Kayaking the Colorado River

Couple buddy's and I are gonna launch at 1000 trails campground, on the Colorado River in Columbus, Texas, in the mornin and paddle down to Beasons Park. Maybe 10 miles. This will be my first "big" kayak trip. Gonna take our fishin rods, but not sure how much fishin we'll do.

If anybody wants to join us, we're meeting at schobels at 830am.

Interesting, kayaking up here is much different, mostly whitewater.

Current was good. Didnt have to paddle very hard. One stretch the wind picked up and we had to dig a little. But, my shoulders and back dont hurt near as bad as I thought they would!

We stopped a few times, just to get out and look around. Made it to the get out point at 205pm. Not a bad way to spend 4 hours!
