I thought the same thing. It's a joke, it really is. I was talking with my Dad about it yesterday, and he said one of the local news stations did a Covid timeline story breaking down when different virus related events happened. NOTHING was said about the protests. I've even seen news article headlines stating that the protests had no effect on Covid numbers. At this point, they're just laughing in our face. Not even the most basic logic applies any more.

Seems like it targets business that permit or profit from social alcohol drinking. 95% of my recreation is fishing and hunting so I've not been affected by closings of these sort of businesses but does seem odd that a virus spreads easier in certain places when it is an airborne type transmission.

I never changed how, where, or when I do anything. Don’t plan to start now.
Not eating out saved me a **** ton of money so that wasn’t an issue either way.

So I guess I did technically change my eating habits!

I have long suspected Abbott is weak. This just continues to confirm my suspicions.
            Bingo!

Let’s just lay the blame on everything else because rioting and “protesting” by the hundreds of thousands hasn’t contributed to any new cases.

I disagree. I think Abbott has done a pretty solid job with everything considered. He is finding the balance between being open and not overwhelming our hospitals. The orders seem focused towards limiting recreational gatherings. While I don't like being told what I can and cannot do, and I acknowledge that once the hospitals get to capacity and beyond, there will be deaths that could have been avoided. Not just COVID deaths, but from other incidents as well. If a hospital is at capacity, they won't be able care for anyone whether COVID, a car wreck, heart attack or whatever.

We were there two or three weeks ago, I was very disappointed! Not sure if it was because they were understaffed or if it’s always this way. It was dirty, smelly, overcrowded, mile long lines to the elevators. Most disappointing casino experience I’ve ever had. We spent all of our time next-door.

I thought it was like the measles, once and done.
How can they be certain on how they caught it?

I would think we are all exposed to it each time we visit Bucees or HEB

I truly feel the whole thing has been politicized and no one really knows what the heck is going on. My wife is a registered nurse at a hospital in Nueces county, she said the Covid units are filling up fast. In my opinion everyone will catch it at some point but we need to manage hospital capacities. There will be more deaths from other things if the hospitals are full of Covid patients. Just my opinion.

I know there was pressure put on him. I know some of you guys are saying we need to remember this in the next election, remember this, we need to vote for a Republican! He may be our only candidate. I think Abbott has not done a bad job.

Maybe scenes like this? Only time I’ve been on the Comal it was like this.

That's not good. We went a few years ago and I enjoyed it more than a lot of casinos in Vegas. We decided if it will be sub par due to everything happening we will probably cancel.
