I guess you could say I am Murphys Law

Well... it happened and it happened the day before season. I was drawing the bow back. A Blackout SS by Diamond. As I was about 3/4 of the way back the string jumped off of the cam and the bow let go and lost control... it cut the string whenever it let go. The cable slide cracked. And the cables slammed into my QAD drop away and bent it.

All I can say is I am lucky I was not injured. Sucks it happened. As I was walking out of the shop I had a flat on my truck. Guess it's just not my day.

And hunt from a ground blind (but check for snakes).

That's a tough start to a new season--possibly can only get better from this point on?

Were you drawing the bow back with a release or with your fingers?

Make sure you wear a safety harness next time you are more than 12” off the ground

Thank you so much. I'm currently driving to basspro to see what they can do. If it wasnt less than a year old I wouldn't be as upset

Dude, that sucks. For me, bad luck runs in 3's. Be on the lookout.
