                  The guy is unemployed because he isn't a very good qb. He is horribly inaccurate and the only system he can play at all in is hard on qbs. No one wants a back with a vastly different skillset from the starter. Nothing like having to retool the offense for something like that.

                  If he were a better qb, teams would take him. Distractions and all.

                      If Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, or Brett Favre did the exact same thing in their prime, they'd have a team before the ink was dry on the release paperwork. Don't kid yourself.

                        I agree. He's not a good enough QB to overcome the fan backlash he would bring and headache to the owner. He got away with it in Santa Clara because the new Silicon Valley season ticket holders are not the blue collar 49er fans who had been at the Stick. It's tough being a conservative here.
