Anyone Ski North Carolina?

Or anywhere around there? I like the idea of close drive to a beach , yes I know it will be winter, but I sure do think that area is pretty. Open to suggestions. Not want to go west ,more of a conversation I don't care to get into. Thanks

Used to ski Beach Mountain and Sugar Mountain. I prefered Beech.

I've skied at Cataloochee in NC...if you've spent any time skiing in the Rockies, you will be underwhelmed...

I don't ski so can't help you there. The ski areas in NC are 5 - 6 hours from the beaches.

Yes. Not much advanced stuff. A black run would be equal to a blue in Colorado.

I went to college in NC. All correct here.

You might look at Snowshoe, WV. Better skiing than Western NC there. That's still the coldest place I've ever been to in my life.
