Hunting the Yampa Valley Area

I will be leaving Thursday for a elk / mule deer hunt on a private ranch just south of Yampa Colorado. Has anyone hunted this area and if so I would appreciate any advice / observations.

This is a DIY hunt on private land.

A client of mine has a ranch there I’ve hunted. It was pretty tough hunting when I went but was able to get a cow. My advice is glass a lot before walking through good areas, the elk blended in very well there, much different from the ones I’ve hunted in the Gila. Saw a decent muley the first day but didn’t have a tag.
