    Relocating Septic Tanks???

Has anyone done this? We are about to build a house...we have a septic system installed where we live now...this will no longer be a homesite and was curious if digging them up and relocating to new site would be something worth looking into.

I'm sure there is some risk involved...like breaking one or both of them, etc...and not quite sure if there will be any savings in the end after paying someone to dig them up and relocate.

    Tanks are 10 years old.

Just thinking out loud really...current plan is to have them pumped out, collapsed, and backfilled with dirt.

I think that it would be a lot cheaper buying new ones than having to do all that work?

yea i agree i looked into this exact thing and guy said by the time to dig up and clean and run new field lines it would cheaper to just put in a new system and also would have the correct system for new size of house mine was about 3800 total installed in east texas
