    Purchasing Sporting Art

Reading tonight’s posts and a long one regarding Cowan prints caused me to wonder where do most sportsmen buy their art? If you appreciate art and you’re an outdoorsman where are you encountering the art that you are familiar with... and buying? Was it passed down, commissioned, seen at a banquet or encountered at a gallery or festival?

I bought most all of my outdoor prints at Ducks Unlimited banquets.

Bet I have 10 pictures I have bought here. Keep your eyes open and beat me to the I will take it button........

I look at it as taking a hundred dollar bill out of my pocket and putting a hundred dollar bill in my kids pocket......

I've never gone out a purposely shopped for prints or artwork but as mentioned above, I've won a few from raffles at DU, Delta, and CCA banquets

Are you asking for a specific store or location?

I inherited a few, and have purchased my Cowan/Caldwell/others when I had a few extra bucks from various stores in Houston.

Collectors Covey remains a great gallery. Have often wanted to visit and talk to the people there.
