Since Friday morning I've seen 3 headless dear in the bar ditch while driving to work. Can't figure on people that shoot one just for the head and then let that much meat just rot.

Saw a nice, young 6 pt walking the yellow path yesterday afternoon. Was dead in the ditch on the red spot this morning. If he would've had some larger headgear, I'm sure he'd be missing his head by now. Poor dude made it all the way to rifle season to be hit by a truck

People cut the heads off all the time of bucks that get hit by vehicles. Saw a decent buck that was dead in the ditch on Sunday morning at 7am and when I came back at 9am the head was cut off and gone.Comment

The GW's I think have started doing that. I know the one in my area a couple years ago was taking the antlers off of hit bucks.Comment

Can't cut the antlers off with a pocket knife but you can take the whole head and cut the antlers off at home.Comment
