My son graduates from HS this year and he would like to go deep sea fishing. Can any body recommend a good outfit to go out with?

I would recommend tuna fishing out of La! That is a hoot! Yellowfin get huge, black fin are plentiful, and you never know what else you will catch! I can’t wait to go back!

Stay an extra night and go bowfishing for redfish!

I’ll second going out of Venice, La. Several very good charters down there to choose from.

Deep Sea Headquarters in Port Aransas is good to go as well

Really depends on your preferences. You can hit Port A for an extended run (36-60hrs) on a head boat with 15 other folks or you can hit Venice where you go out for a single day with as many as 6 of your friends. Going to either place you catch a lot of the same species. One big advantage Venice has if that the deep blue is a lot closer making it a shorter run to the fishing grounds.
