    Aoudad Hunt

Time has finally come for the wife and I. We were invited by a friend of ours on a, kill all the aoudad we could, hunt. My wife is determined to get an arrow in one. Since ill be spending most of my time setting her up, I'm going to be out scouting with a gun in hand. Never been before. The ranch is in Medina Co. Any tips or suggestions on hunting these suckers with a bow would be much appreciated. Should be a good birthday weekend for her. A Ram would put icing on the cake.

I should mention this has always been a dream hunt of hers to get one with a bow. Man I hope she gets a chance at one. Its a 1000 acres with multiple corn feeders. Maps look like good country to hunt.

I shot mine coming to alfalfa cakes...walked right past the hand thrown corn. This was near Bracketville. I know in fact they love corn, I just thought it was interesting that he made a bee line for that alfalfa. In fact, there was a fallow buck on the alfalfa and the aoudad ran him off to get to it. Good luck to your wife, they are cool animals to hunt. I would love to chase them in the W Texas mountains some day!

If he wants as many killed as possible, why take a bow? Just curious.
