Of course they want him impeached. The are doing this to muddy the waters for the upcoming IG investigation reveal, and for whatever AG Barr comes up with, and attempting to damage Trump for an election they know they cannot win.
Instead of jumping relatively quickly on this "quid pro quo" fantasy, the IG and AG are taking their time and building cases that they can actually prosecute instead of this kangaroo court distraction we are seeing.
This could be a real turning point either way for our country. If they don't root out the corruption, we could be done as a democratic republic. If they do root it out, it could start a landslide, as most of these legislators have been enriching their selves for many years.
It has gone on way more than nipping it at the bud, we have to dig it out by the roots.

Trump will likely be impeached, but that's just because Dems have the numbers in the House. Once it goes to the Senate it will die just like the checks and balances intended. There is nothing here but smoke and mirrors to prevent a reelection in 2020.

Doing so would allow the senate majority to call any witnesses they choose and nothing the dems can do about it. Dems don't want this at all. A full trial could well mean a bunch of crooked house democrats and their minions could end up in jail. Democrats are about to step in their own poo.

Which they will regurgitate from now until the 2020 election...even going so far as to continually spew how Trump was "continually found guilty by Congress, of collusion, QPQ, bribery and extortion, election meddling and witness tampering..."
