    Composite decking . .

I'm tired of cleaning and treating regular wood steps and decided to replace them with composite after a stringer broke . . Any special treatment for composite? . . New territory for me . .

16" max on spacing for support or 12" is better. This stuff will get hot to the touch no matter which brand you use. For most residential applications, lifetime warranty is usually in effect. Use the screw the sell for composite, usually a hex head screw.

Has anyone ever used composite boards for a utility trailer?

Not nearly rigid enough for loads like you would have on a trailer.

I actually helped a buddy do composite on a trailer and it worked great for his application.. Generally a lighter load (aluminum signs) and we added some more structure under the wood than was originally present. Been a few years and it's holding up great.

Composite decking looks great and will last a long time if installed & used correctly. Prepare thyself though, it costs about 4X what a treated board will.

About to have 400 square feet of Envision decking installed. Going with a darker color for less upkeep, hoping a quick power wash is all it will need each year.
