    Bisch,

Last year I couldn't decide who had the best year...you and Buff both had such fantastic years, either could have been "KING".

I would say you are in the lead as of now. You are both going to Africa, so it is going to be close again. I feel lucky to have such good hunters for my friends.

We may need to start a kill thread for you two and one for the rest of us.

Good luck on the Dark Continent.

While we're talking Turkey, let me add mine.

16 yards from a pop-up blind, arrow through the heart and left lung. Had to wait for 5 min or so for him to clear the hens and give me my favorite angle.

Started bowhunting again 2years ago when I retired, after a 40 year hiatus. This in one happy camper. Bird weighed 26 lbs live wt.

Word to the elderly. This is a 69 year old pulling an 56# Horne recurve, shooting birds in a downpour far away from the easy chair and TV. There's a message here.

Sorta glad he was dead when I retrieved him. He fluttered about 15 yards and died. Put the breast in a crock pot (barely fit) with a can of cream of mushroom, a can of cream of chicken and a stick of butter. Mmmmmmmm

                            mkcharlie,

Congrats on your turkey and your bow is a beautiful recurve. I might have to check out the Horne line of bows.
