Well folks, pay attention to your ingredients. I screwed up and bought sweetened and condensed instead of evaporated milk. Didn’t realize until I took my first bite. Condensed and evaporated are NOT the same thing.

Haaaa, sorry for laughing at your misfortune but that sounds like something I would do. I have to say I love sweetened and condensed milk but it for sure doesn’t sound good in queso.

Maybe everyone down here is making this, the HEB was all out of velvetta brand, almost out if their brand, only a package or two of regular ranch mix, only low fat evaporated milk and low on the tomatoes.

I like mine spicy so I buy the "hot" can of Rotel

Even the hot Rotel is very very mild, needs bumped up with fresh jalapeño and hobeneros. Makes it far better tasting.
